About this Takayama guide
This is an independent travel guide to Takayama, Japan. It is for you if you are planning a visit and want clear answers in one place: how to get there, where to stay, where to eat, what to see and what to book ahead.
Every page is short on purpose. You get the facts, the source behind them, and a way to check for yourself.
No one owns or funds this guide
No operator, resort, booking agent or government body owns this guide or pays for it. It sells nothing and takes no bookings. If you want to buy a tour or a room, you do that on the provider’s own site.
Who runs it
Adam Yong is the founder of YS Feet, the publisher of this guide. He is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He has over 20 years in software engineering and digital growth, with a computer science background, and he works in search: SEO and search data. He has travelled with his family, with young children, since 2013. YS Feet started as their family trip journal.
For this guide, he does three jobs. He picks the places to cover from real search demand. He runs the system that stores every fact with its source. He reviews every page before it goes live and again after launch.
Adam Yong has not been to Takayama. The guide is built from named sources, not from a trip.

How the site earns
Some links lead to tours on GetYourGuide, Viator and Klook, which run affiliate programmes. If you book through one, the site may earn a commission. The price is the same for you.
Commission decides nothing about what is listed or its order. Nobody pays to be listed, and nobody pays to be placed higher.
What this guide never claims
- No first-hand trip stories. Nobody from the site is said to have visited.
- No reviews written by the site.
- No invented ratings. A rating comes only from the booking site or Google Maps, with its date.
- No paid placements.
